When everyone hits a particular point in their lives, call it a crossroad, we all have to make choices to go one way or the other. Most of the time there is an easy route and a more difficult route. My experiences have shown me that the more difficult route tends to be the right path even if it is difficult initially. In the long run challenges and changes help us grow and become better people. So when I hit that crossroad with signs of sleepless dream filled nights, loss of important people in my life, and an overall feeling of uncertainty and discomfort, I embraced the challenge with a nervous yet excited attitude and started my journey down the path of self exploration and balance.

I am originally from Connecticut and was living there at the time of this crossroad. I received a course catalog from a local community college and took several classes. There I met Nanci Cannon of Earth Spirit located in Middletown, CT. Nanci teaches all types of classes about the energy world and soon after taking several classes, she provided me with my Reiki training and attunements (Usui and Angelic). I finished my training and received the title " Reiki Master" in December 2005.

Within the classes I took with Nanci, I learned other elements of alternative healing which have been incorporated into my practice. I have had classes that involve healing with colors, crystals, and stones. In addition, I have studied sound healing (with tibetan singing bowls and other percussion instruments) meditation, guided meditation, Shamanic healing techniques, an understanding of universal energy (Chi), and past life regression. All of which I practice and can apply to Reiki sessions if the client’s needs call for such. Reiki works directly with universal energy and helps every living thing on the planet.

I benefit on a daily basis from spiritual/energy balance and hope to help/teach others to do the same. I meditate from several times a week to daily. I also perform Reiki on myself when necessary. Since all living things are created equal and serve a purpose, I also provide Animal/Pet Reiki for our furry and scale covered friends. Outside of holistic healing, I am a musician, a traveler, a volunteer, a designer, a movie buff, a builder, a husband, and a nature/animal lover.
